The Prisoners’ Union is a non-profit association without regular funding. Every donation, however small, helps people in prison and their families defend their rights.

The association’s funds are used solely for the purposes set out in its statutes.

What your support funds

• Preparing requests, complaints and appeals; legal advice.
• Collecting, verifying and publishing reports of violations.
• Running our community, website and video channel.
• Taking part in public debate and law-making.

Allocate 1.2% of your income tax

The association is a registered support recipient (paramos gavėjas). If you pay personal income tax (GPM) in Lithuania, you can allocate up to 1.2% of it to us. It costs you nothing – the State Tax Inspectorate (VMI) transfers this share from tax already paid.

1. Log in to My VMI at vmi.lt (via e-banking, Smart-ID or e-signature).
2. Choose the request to allocate support – form FR0512.
3. Select support recipient as the recipient type, enter code 305176382 and the share – up to 1.2%.
4. Choose for how many years the request applies (it can cover several years in a row) and submit it by 1 May.

If your request covers several years, you do not need to repeat it every year.
